Developer Workstation Plan
High-spec laptop, dock, and dual-monitor subscription for engineering teams, with image rotation tied to your CI baseline and a 30-month refresh cadence.
A workstation plan written by people who have seen too many engineers wait three weeks for a replacement laptop. You select the seat profile (Apple Silicon Pro, Lenovo P-series, or Framework 16), and we maintain golden images that match your CI runners line for line. Each seat ships with a hub, a 27" display, and an ergonomic keyboard, plus a documented loaner protocol that gets a senior engineer back to work the same morning. Refresh windows align to your fiscal year, not ours.
Inside the plan
Six things this plan does, in writing.

- 04 Same-morning loaner pool for 50+ seat fleets

Plain-language FAQ
Three questions we get most often, answered honestly.
-
Yes, on Lenovo P-series and Framework 16. We maintain Ubuntu LTS and Fedora Workstation images. We do not support Arch, NixOS, or rolling-release distros — engineers who want those typically buy their own machine and we accommodate that on the BYOD addendum.

What people actually say.

The CI-aligned image is the part I underestimated. New backend hires push their first PR by lunch on day two.

Loaner arrived the same morning when my keyboard died. Display was a slightly older 27" panel than my main one, but workable.

Fast, quiet, didn't break my workflow — that is honestly the best review I can give a corporate IT plan.

We moved off self-managed laptops in March. Procurement reporting is finally readable. Reporting cadence assumes you have someone in IT to read it weekly — we are still adjusting our process.
